Check Valves
The check valve is designed to use in sanitary stainless steel pipe systems. The check valve is responsible for preventing the reverse product flow. This valve is versatile because it can be installed either vertically or horizaontally. Pictured here is Alfa Laval’s “Y”-Body check valve.
Lumaco Concentric Check Valve
When choosing a check valve, the Lumaco Concentric Check Valve is they way to go. The check valve is responsible for preventing the back-flow of product in the working line.
The Lumaco check valve has many benefits starting with the material it’s made of. This check valve is constructed completely of 316 Stainless Steel which gives the valve the highest corrosion resistance. The Lumaco check valve also has an EPDM (Viton is also available) O-Ring, which in turn makes the valve leaf proof! These are only a few of the many benefical features the Lumaco Check Valve has.
LKC Check Valves
The LKC Check Valves are truly on top of the rest. When looking for a sanitary valve to prevent the reverse of flow, the LKC Check Valve is the way to go.
How does it work you ask? The LKC valve opens when the pressure below the valve plug exceeds the combination of the product at hand and then spring pressure above the plug. Then, the valve closes when the combination of product and spring pressure above the valve plug exceeds the pressure below the plug.
The design of the valve body is in two parts that are assembled by the means of a sanitary clamp and is then sealed with a special seal ring. There is a guide disc and four legs guide the spring loaded valve plug with an O-ring seal. LKC-2 has welding ends or Tri-Clamp® connections.
