3 Phase Motor

A 3 phase motor is a motor with a continuous series of three overlapping AC cycles that are offset by 120 degrees. Three-phase power is used for all large AC motors.
Washdown Motors
Koss Industrial, Inc. has a wide variety of washdown motors, that includes both brand-new and reconditioned motors. Koss’ even has a two 25 HP reconditioned motors. Both these motors are high-speed (3600 RPM) and possess all of the “washdown attributes” including epoxy paint finish, stainless steel o/p shaft and nameplate, plated fasteners, gasketed conduit box with threaded leadhole, tropicalized windings, stainless drains, and silicone sealed joints for a water-tight connection.

The Role of a Gearbox
A gearbox is responsible for providing a speed-torque conversion, which is commonly referred to as the gear reduction or speed reduction, from a higher speed motor to a slower, but more forceful output motor or vice-versa. This displays the principle of mechanical advantage (MA) which is the factor by which a mechanism multiplies the force (or torque) put into it.

Powder funnels are not only used to quickly mix powders, but can also be used for various tasks, such as rapidly reconstituting a liquid concentrate. Another feature of Koss’ powder funnels is the ability to CIP clean the unit making it even more cost effective.
These powder funnels are designed with a built-in powder inducer which minimizes the moisture crawling into the funnel, which in turn helps prevent clogging of the lower funnel area.
