Actuators
An actuator is a mechanical device intended for controlling or moving a mechanism or system. An actuator is typically a mechanical device that takes energy, usually transported by air, electric current, or liquid, and then converts that into a type of motion.

Steam Ball Valves
Schubert & Salzer has the 7010 shut off valve that is also in the steam capable. These steam ball valves are not only ideal for steam, but they are ideal for water, gases, and other aggressive media. Pressures to 580 psi and temperatures to 430° F. Highest Temperatures and Pressures from any angle valve manufacturer. Materials include 316L stainless steel, bronze and brass. Actuators are available in a hardened chrome plated alloy, stainless steel and polymer. End connections include NPT, ANSI flanges, socket weld, butt weld, tri-clamp, tube ends, etc. Sizes ¼” through 3”.
How the World Moves
Virtually nothing in the world would be possible without the presence of actuators, but few people know what they actually are. An actuator is simply a device that is responsible for the movement or control of a mechanism or other system. They use energy from a source, such as electricity, and convert it into some form of motion. Because of this broad definition, there are many things that fall under this umbrella term.
As is evident, there is a variety if actuators utilized in mechanics, engineering and other sciences. However, the term also applies to everyday things as simple as a gripping tool or light switch. Human muscles are even classified as actuators, as they convert the energy stored in the body into movement.
SRC Valves

The SRC valve is remote-controlled by compressed air. This valve also has movable parts which makes the SRC Valve a very reliable valve. The SRC has several body combinations including, but not limited to, shut-off, cross, & divert.
The standard SRC valve consists of the actuator, lip seal, plug, and valve bodies. The valve has the welding ends as a standard feature.
