Although we might not take the time to think about it, valves play a crucial part in our everyday lives. Humans literally couldn’t do without valves in their hearts pumping blood through the body’s many arteries. Some of the most basic daily activities, beginning with turning on the water for a hot shower in the morning, depend on man-made valves to function properly.
Ball valves work in accordance with a handle to block or restrict the flow of liquids and gases. They help to regulate the flow of fuel to internal combustion engines, and they play a critical part in our country’s chemical, oil and pharmaceutical industries as well. A ball valve can withstand tremendous amounts of pressure, which makes it useful in pipelines.
