Hooking up a centrifugal pump is fairly simple. To complete the project you will need a PVC saw, PVC glue and primer, as well as a wall outlet. Begin by setting the centrifugal pump on the equipment pad and then cut out a section of PVC plumbing large enough to accommodate the pump. Line up the PVC piping lines with the collars of the pump.
Next, apply PVC glue and primer to the PVC ends that connect to the pump. Connect the glued and primed ends to the collars of the pump, and allow the PVC to dry overnight. The next day, plug the centrifugal pump’s power cord into the outlet. Run the pump, look for any leaks, and repair any leaks that may have sprung up.
